University of Miami women's golfer Ashleen Kaur added a national academic honor to a junior season that included the second-lowest round in program history, the university announced Monday, July 13.
Kaur, an incoming senior majoring in political science, was named to the 2025-26 Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team. The award recognizes collegiate golfers who maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA while competing in at least half their team's scheduled rounds.
She was one of 1,551 student-athletes across all divisions selected this year.
On the course, Kaur's junior campaign featured two top-10 finishes and three top-20 finishes. Her signature moment came at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic in Vail, Colo., where she fired a third-round 64, 8 under par. That score stands as the second-lowest 18-hole round in Miami women's golf history.
Kaur, a transfer who joined the Hurricanes prior to the 2025-26 season, also competed at the ACC Championship in Wilmington, N.C., finishing tied for 53rd at 6 over par as Miami placed 10th overall.
Her academic achievement fits a broader trend for the program. Miami placed a program-record six golfers on the All-ACC Academic Team during the past season, according to UM Athletics. Kaur heads into her senior year with the Hurricanes' fall schedule set to begin in late August.
