A stretch of SW 120th Street in Pinecrest will shut down Wednesday, July 15, for about two weeks while crews install a new sewer line connection, the Village of Pinecrest announced Monday, July 13.
The closure covers SW 120th Street between SW 74th Court and SW 72nd Avenue. Work is scheduled Monday through Saturday, with the road reopening each Sunday. Based on that timeline, the project is expected to wrap up around Wednesday, July 29, though the village has not confirmed a hard end date. No contractor name, project cost, or details about the broader sewer system have been released.

The village posted official detours for drivers who normally use that segment:
- Eastbound traffic: Take SW 74th Court south to SW 124th Street.
- Westbound traffic: Take SW 72nd Avenue south to SW 124th Street.
Detour signs will be posted along the route.
What drivers should know
