The University of Miami women's tennis program will host the ITA Southeast Regional Championships at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center in Coral Gables from Oct. 8-12.

The program announced the hosting assignment Sunday, Oct. 4, on X, expressing excitement about bringing the event to its home courts. The tournament appears on the UM women's tennis fall schedule as a home event running Oct. 8-12.

Neil Schiff Tennis Center seats more than 1,000

The Neil Schiff Tennis Center, 5821 San Amaro Drive, houses 16 courts, including eight varsity courts. Seating flanks the varsity courts on two sides, accommodating more than 1,000 spectators, including 144 courtside chair-back seats.

The facility annually hosts the International Junior Orange Bowl and has previously hosted an NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships regional round. Its lighting system earned a Tennis Industry Magazine Court of the Year Award.

Yaroshuk-Tews leads longtime NCAA contender

Paige Yaroshuk-Tews, UM's director of men's and women's tennis and head women's tennis coach, leads the program. She is the program's all-time winningest women's tennis coach with a 435-167 career record and ranks third in ACC history in career wins.

Under Yaroshuk-Tews, the Hurricanes have reached the NCAA Elite Eight eight times in the past 21 tournaments and made the Sweet 16 on 16 occasions during that stretch. The program posted 20 consecutive ITA top-25 finishes before 2025, including 14 in the top 15. Miami has hosted NCAA first- and second-round matches 15 times during her tenure.

The Hurricanes earned their 39th NCAA Team Championship berth April 27, returning to the tournament after missing it in 2025 for the first time in 28 years.

Regional begins Oct. 8 in Coral Gables

The ITA Southeast Regional Championships run Thursday, Oct. 8, through Monday, Oct. 12.

The regional feeds into the ITA Sectional Championships, which Miami's schedule lists as an away event in Knoxville, Tennessee, from Nov. 5-8. Fans can check the UM athletics website for updated tournament and attendance details.
