The Biltmore Hotel's grand pool in Coral Gables earned the No. 3 spot in USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards for Best Hotel Pool in the country, according to results published Aug. 19.

The 23,000-square-foot pool at 1200 Anastasia Ave. beat out hotel pools nationwide in the reader-voted contest, trailing only the Orlando World Center Marriott at No. 1 and Koloa Landing Resort at Poipu in Hawaii at No. 2.

Pool's Highest Ranking Since 2016 Debut

It's not the Biltmore's first appearance on the list. The pool was a runner-up in 2025 and in 2016, making this year's bronze finish its highest placement yet.

The 10Best awards use a two-step process: An expert panel selects nominees, then readers vote to determine the final rankings.

A Century-Old Pool With Hollywood Ties

The hotel first opened in 1926, and USA Today's 10Best notes the pool debuted that same year. The outlet describes it as "one of the largest hotel pools in the United States" and the former site of swimmer Esther Williams' aquatic performances. Today it offers cabanas and daybeds alongside the massive swimming area.

City Pools Also Earn Safety Honors

The ranking comes as Coral Gables aquatic facilities draw other recognition. At the city commission meeting May 19, Parks and Recreation Director Fred Couceyro presented a proclamation for National Water Safety Month, calling drowning prevention a top priority at the Venetian Pool and the Country Club Pool. Staff also reported that the Venetian Pool had earned both Gold and Platinum safety awards from the Ellis Association for exceeding safety guidelines.

What It Costs to Visit Venetian Pool

The Biltmore pool serves hotel guests. The city-operated Venetian Pool at 2701 De Soto Blvd. charges $7 for resident adults and $6 for children ages 3 to 12. Non-resident rates are $23 for adults and $18 for children.
