Sawa Restaurant & Lounge at the Shops at Merrick Park has a full menu for dogs, headlined by a $12 filet mignon kebab served plain in a dog bowl.

The Coral Gables restaurant's dog menu also includes baked biscuits, grain-free jerky strips, grilled chicken breast kebabs and an Angus burger patty, Coral Gables Magazine reported Thursday, Sept. 17. Sides of white or brown rice cost $6, and a True Acres dessert cup runs $6.

Reviewer Yousra Benkirane brought her husky, Fendi, to test the filet mignon. Benkirane wrote that Fendi "inspected it for approximately half a second before deciding it met her standards, then proceeded to clean the bowl …"

Dogs eat on Sawa's shaded outdoor patio, lined with palms and bright green umbrellas. A Coral Gables Magazine dining guide published in June 2026 already listed the dog menu as an existing feature.
